The company for which I work, Erickson Information Services, is looking to hire a Python developer. We are an IT company that provides services to a local group of companies owned by, and including, Erickson Group, Ltd.
We have developed some internal tools and websites for the companies. The largest of which is the picking and receiving application for our warehouse. Currently it uses PythonCE on a Symbol MC9060 “mobile computer” [1] which talks to a web backend written in Pylons. We are looking to upgrade the Pylons backend to Flask as well as switch the client application from the MC9060 to a Surface and Bluetooth scanner. The project will involve web stuffs, interfacing Python with C APIs, GUIs, and others. Beyond programming barcode scanner applications, we also have plans for internal websites, integration between a telephony provider, such as Twilio, and our ticketing system, and other projects as they may arise. I am looking for someone with solid Python knowledge. You don’t need to be a guru, but I do need someone who is comfortable with things like list comprehensions, appropriate uses of lambda, generators, etc. While I think any competent programmer can learn Python, I need someone who can start digging into the existing code immediately. I feel that anyone that is already comfortable with Python can do so. This is a full time position with medical, dental, vision, 401k, vacation and paid time off. If you are interested, or know someone who may be, please send your resume / cv and salary expectations to john dot hampton at erickson dot is. (yes, that’s a .is domain) [2] Erickson Information Services is located in Beaverton. It is close to the Beaverton Transit Center close to Beaverton-Hillsdale and I-217. Having a vehicle is not required, but will be helpful, when having to work with the warehouse which is located in Hillsboro. -John [1] http://www.isisintegration.co.uk/images/products/symbol_mc9000g_sidebar.jpg -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
