MariaDB port tweaks from Brad;
For libmariadb don't try to pick up cURL and use external zlib.
For the CONNECT engine don't try to pick up Mongo.
(plus small comment/ONLY_FOR_ARCHS tweaks and s/do-regress/do-test/)
