while here move the CFLAGS += -L${X11BASE}/lib line within .if
CHOSEN_COMPILER = ports-gcc, because on base-clang archs it says
warning: argument unused during compilation: '-L/usr/X11R6/lib'
[-Wunused-command-line-argument]
whether it should be CFLAGS or LDFLAGS or something else is left for jca to fix
it ;)
