/usr/local/lib/compat/pkg (in many cases):
Ah, you're right.
In most cases, when the contents of the ${LOCALBASE}/lib/compat/pkg directory
are empty, it is pruned by mtree which is run by the stage-dir target.
Only in the case of pkg (and pkg-devel), it will be recreated after that
happens, so it will be deleted again by that part of portmaster.
I haven't been able to check it because my directory often has something in it
