This is what worked for me, but afterward, I found a few ports
(gimp-app, gnumeric, json-glib libproxy, & libsoup3) had not picked
up some of the thus-updated libraries -- discovered by running
"pkg check -andqs", so I rebuilt those. Subsequent checks were clean.

Thanks, deleted the whole stuff, scratching a little my head for the
order of reinsatllation, it finally worked
