Hello! I'm running Gnome on a snapshot from August 23 on i386 with prebuilt packages from August 12. It's very unstable (used it 1-2 months ago with far less problems). Especially nautilus and gnome-panel are crashing happily every 2-3 minutes when using them or fiddling with the settings. Same for the control center and eog.
One can't associate files with applications via the "properties"-dialog in nautilus. The sound applet refuses to work (used to work some months ago). metacity crashed too one time with SIGSEGV, a trace is here: http://www.metawire.org/~leopold/packagestuff/metacity.dump Output from pkg_info is here: http://www.metawire.org/~leopold/packagestuff/paks.txt When trying to use evolution i see what is mentioned here: http://marc.theaimsgroup.com/?l=openbsd-ports&m=111670078831285&w=2 and here: http://marc.theaimsgroup.com/?l=openbsd-ports&m=111469834221589&w=2 Starting it from command line only gives this: [EMAIL PROTECTED]:6$ evolution evolution-shell-WARNING **: Error setting owner on component OAFIID:GNOME_Evolution_Mail_ShellComponent -- CORBA error Waiting for component to die -- OAFIID:GNOME_Evolution_Calendar_ShellComponent (1) [EMAIL PROTECTED]:7$ $HOME/.xsession-errors: http://www.metawire.org/~leopold/packagestuff/xsession-errors Ok, i just installed the packages from August 20th, same result. I even tried it with a fresh user with empty $HOME, same result. Alf
