Nevermind. I figured out what was going on, so for the
archives and documenting my silliness :-)

I assumed when specifying USE_SYSTRACE=Yes it uses systrace
for every step of the build. Apparently this is only true
for /bin/sh /usr/bin/env /usr/bin/make and gmake.

So at first glance looks like we don't cover configure
scripts. But a closer look at the inf mk files configure
scripts are invoked in the form of $MODSIMPLE_configure
which invokes configure in $WRKCONF using $SETENV (i.e.,
/usr/bin/env.

OK...I think I'm understanding some of this port stuff
a bit better now. I'd appreciate it if someone in the
know-how could correct me if I'm wrong or direct me in
a more proper direction if I'm way off base.
