i have never run a -stable all my life ;) i am always using -current on my notebook (one might say not production) of course this sole fact doesn't elevate me above the 'average' user you are mentioning. i certainly hope other facts do ;-) > If you find some odd behaviour, like warning messages are shown with -i > but not w/o, that might be a bug. If there is some missing behaviour, > that might just be ongoing development, or another bug. well, i have found some odd behaviour (odd for me at least). perhaps i did not make myself clear, i am not bashing the pkg tools, i am trying to understand them. will not 3.8-stable behave in a similar way? > If you find bugs in OpenBSD, use sendbug(1). sure, if i find a bug, i will use it. but i don't know if this is a bug or intentional, or still moving target. that's why i am asking. i know it seems like noise, but there is always a chance that some other people did not get it also, so clearing things up is maybe not time wasted. -f -- questions, questions! does it ever end?!
