PuroRock presents a Pre-Grammy Showcase at the Knitting Factory in
Hollywood on November 2nd, featuring among others; Grammyâ nominated:
Rabanes and Locos por Juana plus an international array of special
guests.

 

Hollywood, CA - October 8, 2005- PuroRock.com the Premier Spanish Portal
in the US is proud to announce its pre-Grammyâ showcase to be celebrated
at the world famous Knitting Factory in Hollywood, California. This is an
opportunity to enjoy some of the best international acts in Spanish Rock.
These bands will be delighted to show their talents and to demonstrate
the energy, quality, and great vibe of the Latin alternative music of
today. Here are some of the artists participating on the PuroRock

This will be an all age festival with two different areas to enjoy Latin
alternative music at its best, one for Rock and the other for
Electronic/acoustic performances. Doors will open at 7pm and the first
band will start playing at 8pm.

BATTLE OF THE BANDS 2005

THE 2005 BATTLE OF THE BANDS finals part I was a great success and a
completely sold out show last Wednesday October 19th at The Knitting
Factory with KINKY and MEZKLAH. The two bands that competed were Fitter
and Gente de Goma. “Both bands rocked” many people around the club said.

Roxing Kafe and Fronteras will share the stage with Ely Guerra this
Sunday October 30th for the Finals part II, also Legion second place
winners of 2004 Budweiser Battle of the Bands will be special guests. The
Knitting Factory is located at 7021 Hollywood Blvd. Tickets at
www.knittingfactory.com. We will announce the winners at the end of this
show. The judges are: Kolo Barrera of KSSE, Gabe Goss of Latin Music
Artists, Edgardo Ochoa of Escuchalo Records, Kim Jones manager of Fobia,
Brenda Herrera of Latin Heat, Delia Orjuela of BMI, Pablo Rodriguez
manager of Lucybell, Robert Lopez of Tower Records, Rafael Esparza song
writer and producer and Mezklah 2004 Battle of the Bands Winners. 21+
