However, multimedia/transcode is too outdated to use with updated
ffmpeg.

A port of ffmpeg2theora is what I want to resubmit (original submission was forgotten, due to pre-4.0 lock stress.) The latest version depends on libswscale for rescaling video streams.

I could resubmit the older version of the port, which works with -current's ffmpeg, of course ... It is already capable of rescaling by itself, but not as good and possibly not as fast. Would such a port be commitable? If yes, no problem. The ffmpeg2theora port can then be updated as soon as there's an ffmpeg update available.

In any case, I want to request that any update to graphics/ffmpeg contains libswscale as well.
