Ian Taylor provided patches on his mailing list following someone
reliability/corruption problems with protocol i over a really bad
inmarsat link.

That's the only place he put them and I don't beleive that is a
proper format for PATCHFILES.
I created a single patch, that I'm hosting, made from the cvs tree
found at: ftp://ftp.airs.com/pub/uucp/cvs
I would rather not host it if this is commited.

I've been using it for a while but cannot really test it because
the console port between my sparc and intel machine is actually
very reliable at the slow speed of 9600 baud (this month, 58MB
sent). The patch doesn't break anything.
First file has cksums in old hex format for 4.1 and older, the
second in base64 for current.
I use uucp on sparc/i386 4.0. I compiled succesfully on vax-current.
My opinion is the cvs port tree can wait for the next update from
Ian. I doubt you'll found a single OpenBSD user that ran into the
problems the patch solves and they have been available for over a
year already.
