Hi, I'm trying to work out whether I can achieve this with sub-packages or flavors.
If i have 2 packages (texlive_texmf-minimal and texlive_texmf-full) of which at least one must be installed to build texlive_base. If I choose to install the minimal texmf then I will need to patch a config file in base. If i install full texmf, then I do not have to patch the config file. The config file is read and processed by the port at the "make fake" stage and depending upon which you have chosen you will get a different packing list. As far as I can see (from reading man bsd.port.mk), this can not be achieved by using sub-packages or flavors, however I must admit that it took a couple of reads to understand these facilities and I am unsure if I have understood properly. Have I understood correctly? Can this be achieved using the described functions of ports, or will I have to use a more monolithic approach? -- Best Regards Edd --------------------------------------------------- http://students.dec.bournemouth.ac.uk/ebarrett
