Today I discovered that someone has made a port of Nanosaur II for
modern OSes and I just had to try it :)

Nanosaur II is:

Information for inst:nanosaur2-2.1.0

Comment:
Pangea Software' Nanosaur II for modern systems

Description:
Nanosaur II: Hatchling is a continuation of the original Nanosaur
storyline, only this time you get to fly a pterodactyl who's loaded with
hi-tech weaponry. In addition to the three level adventure mode where
you blast enemy dinos and save eggs, there are also six two-player
levels including racing, capture-the-flag, and battle.

This is a port of the original Mac version of the game to modern
operating systems, made under permission from Pangea Software, Inc.

I've only played for around half an hour for now, will play more in
the next days but wanted to share the tarball for the moment :)

For my (temporary) limited testing however everything seems to work,
translations included! Couldn't try joypad support, but since it uses
sdl2 it shouldn't be different from other games.

Upstream' README says that it's under the permission from Pangea
Software, Inc and it is licensed under CC-BY-NC SA 4.0. I see that we
have a few other ports wit CC-BY-NC so this shouldn't be an issue for
PERMIT_PACKAGE.

the github' autogenerated tarball is lacking a git submodule (Pomme)
and upstream doesn't provide a source tarball, that's why I'm fetching
the extra tarball and moving it in post-extract.

(in the future I'd like to take a look also at the other ports, like
Nanosaur I that I've never played.)
