First I quickly read "audacious" and decided to test,
half-way through I noticed it was *city not *cious
but I decided to give it a try anyway ;-)

Playing and editing mp3 track worked fine on i386.
But when starting I get this:

Pa_SetupDeviceFormat: warning - requested sample rate = 96000 Hz - closest = 8000
Pa_SetupDeviceFormat: HW does not support 96000 Hz sample rate
Pa_SetupDeviceFormat: warning - requested sample rate = 96000 Hz - closest = 8000
Pa_SetupDeviceFormat: HW does not support 96000 Hz sample rate

Also the Help->Benchmark doesn't seem to work:

Using 75573 blocks of 222 samples each, for a total of 32.0 MB.
