Re the DMD issue, did you leave datasize limit at the default or raise it?
(ulimit -d, login.conf).
Re the bootstrap, only DMD was fixed.

I notice ldc is still, as of 7.6, throwing this message when
attempting to build from ports:
===> ldc-1.35.0p0 is marked as broken: needs new bootstrap .
DMD does work but there is a potential bug reported here:
https://issues.dlang.org/show_bug.cgi?id=24863
Hoping to test ldc as an alternative but can't due to aforementioned issue.
