Hi, I'm currently working on Prelude and Snort. Snort must sends Prelude messages to a Prelude manager hosted on a Debian box.
One issue raised with gnutls. In order to communicate between Prelude sensorts and Prelude managers, these soft need to be compiled with the same gnutls version. Debian etch comes with gnutls version 1.4.4, OpenBSD 4.1 ports comes with gnutls version 1.0.25. I emailed the developper in charge of the gnutls port few days ago (Jim Geovedi). He gently said me that he no longer works on OpenBSD ports. As I certainly will deploy this configuration more than 1 time, I'd like to have a nice package with gnutls and not compile it for each installation. Does anyone here works on security/gnutls port and knows if there is any technical reason for not upgradig to a more recent version of gnutls? Or maybe it's only the lack of developper ressources? Thanks, Claer
