This is a free commit for the first person who hits something that no longer works. ok tb The only additional thing I do beyond bumping the date and regenerating the plist is diffing the pyproject.toml between the old and new version. The only change is a new setuptools <81 dependency is a bit annoying but will hopefully resolve itself in a future yt-dlp update before we update to that (end of 2025).
