After more time with this new update, the bottom panel is back to
crashing. This time though, it's not taking out the whole shell with
it. It only covers the bottom of the display with the most recent
window behind it, in the shape of the panel itself. When I minimize
all applications, it does not show the desktop background, but shows a
still image of the most recent application before it was minimized.
I will check if the panel issue is still there with the next snapshot.
I upgraded to the October 8th snapshot and latest kde-plasma-extras,
still 6.4.5. Konsole works great now.
But after a couple hours, the bottom panel crashes and leaves the
last-minimized window over it and all other windows. The screenshot
below shows the panel's breadth of a tmux session which covers Chromium
opened to dragonflybsd.org (yes I'm also interested in Dragonfly).
