thanks, it seems to work fine here, no crash upon exit. i dunno much
about this ffmpeg spaghetti, but my reading of
https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1980802 seems to say that
using avcodec_free_context() is the way to go.
