we could remove the port, and re-import later if someone has an updated
version...

Hello all,
I would like to use this email to draw the attention of the OpenBSD ports
tree maintainers to an issue related to the net/onionshare port. At present,
this port has not been updated for approximately six years. About a year
ago, I contacted the maintainer, who indicated that they were working on an
update; however, there have been no visible updates since then, and the
outdated version continues to be distributed by the project.
that maintainer has been somewhat inactive in the recent years (last
mail to ports@ in 2022 ?), sometimes life takes priority, and you don't
think about dropping maintainership for the things you were caring
about.
Anyway, feel free to send an update to the port, someone interested
in the tor ecosystem (not me) might look into it. Or, since you seem to
be caring a lot, you can also take maintainership.
