btw it seems that the only ports which are actually using it are geo/qgis (via py-qt5) emulators/fs-uae-launcher (via py-qt5) www/ruby-capybara-webkit if it can be knocked out of qgis/fs-uae-launcher, py-qt5 can be built with --disable QtWebKit --disable QtWebKitWidgets ... i see that qgis now has a file with "This is required in order to use QT3d and QtWebEngine at the same time" so perhaps that can be switched now? fs-uae-launcher looks a simple use-case (there is actually a commented- out line for QtWebEngine though it looks like it's missing something - not sure how to trigger actually using that codepath anyway), also current upstream releases moved to py-qt6
