This is a straightforward update. It adds a few new inline functions and
macros to the headers but has no dynamic export changes. In particular
it fixes the build with llvm22 by replacing a hack with std::isnan().
I checked that it builds on sparc64 and amd64 -current.
Not sure what kind of testing would be necessary and appropriate. I
cannot run it through a bulk on current myself since I switched my build
box to llvm22.
