x11/xfile graphics/ximaging Both applications are developed by the same upstream project and are lightweight X11 applications written in C using the Motif toolkit. XFile is a compact file manager that presents the filesystem directly, without virtual locations or a trash abstraction. It provides its own Unix-style file type association database, configurable X resources, filesystem mounting support, and integration with removable-media mount daemons. The port installs the xfile executable, the xfile-open symlink, its manual page and X resources, as well as the default file type database and bundled XPM icons. XImaging is a lightweight multithreaded image viewer and browser. It provides image viewing, zooming, panning and rotation, as well as a thumbnail-based directory browser and basic file management. Common raster formats are supported directly, while external filters may be configured for additional formats. The XImaging port depends on Motif, libjpeg, libpng and libtiff. OpenMP is explicitly disabled, while pthread support is retained. Both ports use the upstream OpenBSD build target while passing the compiler, flags, installation prefix, X11 and local include/library paths, manual page directory, and app-defaults directory explicitly from the ports infrastructure. Installation is handled by the ports directly rather than relying on the upstream install targets, keeping installed paths under the control of the OpenBSD ports infrastructure. The versions included are the current upstream releases: XFile 1.2.1, released on August 4, 2026, and XImaging 1.9.2, released on July 12, 2026.
