I've committed this.
When sending a 'ping' mail, it's helpful to include a fresh diff,
to make it easier for whoever commits it (and, though it doesn't
apply here, doing a cvs up before generating it will also catch
cases where something was already committed but not noticed, as
happens sometimes :)
