Hi

I would like to ask whether anyone would be interested in porting and
maintaining dwl for OpenBSD. dwl is a small Wayland compositor based on
wlroots, written to fill the same role on Wayland that dwm fills on X11: one C
source file, configured through config.h, with few dependencies. It is already
packaged on FreeBSD as x11-wm/dwl. On OpenBSD, wlroots 0.20 is already in the
ports tree, and mango, a compositor forked from dwl, is available as
wayland/mango. I currently run mango on a ThinkPad T490 with OpenBSD 7.9, and
it works. Still, I would prefer plain dwl: it is smaller, closer to dwm, and
easier to read and patch, which fits the OpenBSD approach well.

Since dwm users are used to building from source with their own config.h, a
port that installs the default build and keeps the source easy to patch would
already be very useful.

I am not able to maintain the port myself, but I am happy to test it on amd64
and report back.

Thank you for your time and your work on OpenBSD.

Best regards
