I successfully compiled clamav-0.92 from ports on 4.2 stable. I'm

Attached are distinfo and Makefile (partially stolen from FreeBSD).

The 'patches' directory can be removed.

No way

Sorry, that was a bit short, but some of the patches fix portability
problems (and others add the option to scan a passed file-descriptor
which is used by other software in the ports tree).

OK.

OK. Further links about how to create a port are welcome.

This might be useful:

There's also documentation in http://www.openbsd.org/porting.html,
and these manual pages: ports(7), bsd.port.mk(5)

OK, will read the next days.

I did so, changed distname, PKGNAME and added '--disable-unrar'. And if
anyone can do it better I'm pleased to see the port for 4.2 stable.
Not only for security reasons but also to see that clamdscan-0.92 is
about 4 times faster than 0.91.

After it's updated in -current the backport to -stable should be
reasonably straightforward.

Currently clamav is at 0.90.3 for 4.2 stable so I am a bit concerned about 0.92 will find its way to the stable ports tree.
