Dear porters,

I have ported to OpenBSD as6edriver, that is a linux program to use
Artec As6e scanner. the program now works in command line, as root.
I haven't tried yet sane backend.

This is my first port, and I am not a security expert. If you are
interested in include it in the ports tree I will need someone to
help me to check that my patches are ok, because the program reads and
writes directly on the lpt port. This is not a long task, just check
the bottom lines of the file as6edriver.h *after* having patched it.
I took the code used to open ports from the port for openbsd
(by Guillaume Filion) of the program lcdproc.

the scanner driver uses these ports:
port
port+1
port+2
port+3
port+4
port+0x402
where "port" is the parallel port (example 0x378) configurable in /etc/as6e.conf

to test as6edriver untar in /usr/ports/graphic the file:
http://newton.ph.unito.it/~castagni/files/as6edriver-openbsd.tar.gz

and make install it

Let me know something. Maybe I am the only one on the earth that still use
that scanner :D
