Nope, it's the wrong way to go about that. For stuff like mldonkey, you don't want a flavor, you want MULTI_PACKAGES, so that the X11 stuff stays in its own package. If you still want to build only the no_x11 part, that's what PSEUDO_FLAVORS are for...
