It might warrant drawing extra attention to "on a 64-bit arch". These warnings do not show up if you build the port on 32-bit. People submitting ports, please try and get access to a 64-bit capable machine for testing... maybe you already have one that is currently running i386 that you could switch or dual-boot to amd64.
