I am also seeing this problem. See

for previous discussion.

After I upgraded to OpenBSD 4.4-current and JDK 1.7 it stopped happening
as often (using Netbeans 5.5 from packages), but it still happens
after about every second build.
Arrghh ... this sounds like beyond "Go fix your fonts" and into "Somebody like me who knows NetBeans should be rooting through NetBeans source looking for the edge condition that triggers
the bug in the JDK port" territory.

Just the detour expedition I need right now so that I don't run the risk of generating any
useful open source application code :-)

I think I know what NB is doing ... the messages that get trashed are not the javac compiler output and associated line number links ... it's the summary messages that tell you what is going
to happen or what did happen in your compile session.

I'll look at this further.
