Programs of reasonable quality though not perfect are a reasonable thing to import. Code which has a history of security horrors, and then when in new clothes (wireshark) STILL has problems and very likely false claims, well, that program does not deserve to be in the ports tree. While it is stressed that ports aren't up to the same standards as the base OS, I think it is perfectly valid to ban really bad items. Note that this hasn't happened very often. --STeve Andre'
