I've just discovered that I had some old packages from 4.4 installed on a 4.5 system. While investigating the resulting breakage, it occurred to me that I don't seem to have an easy way to properly determine which ports are being made obsolete by new functionality in the base system. In such cases, I usually wish to remove the package and use the corresponding functionality from the base system. TIA! -- Kind regards, --Toni++
