Another thing you may want to fix...
MESSAGE-main mentions that installing libdvd may be useful if you want
to read dvds. However, LIB_DEPENDS includes devel/libdvdread which
depends on converters/libdvd unless the -debugcss flavour is used. From
a casual perusal of the generated configure file, it appears that
libdvdcss is also used if it is available (i.e. if
devel/libdvdread-debugcss is installed).
In other words, it appears that either libdvd or libdvdcss will always
be installed if vlc is, so you may want to add this as a dependency and
change MESSAGE to reflect this.
