So looking at others needing imap showed me RoundCube. Pretty snazzy

Vote +1 for Roundcube webmail.
So which imap? Dovecot looked like a candidate. It can use sqlite as
does Roundcube and I know it can do authentication for Postfix so it
looked like a suitable candidate.
Vote +1 for Dovecot as POP3/IMAP server.
Then I found out that Roundcube uses sqlite and Dovecot uses
sqlite3. I
don't think I want to have to synch two databases all the time.
Roundcube is a php program, make your php works with sqlite is enough.
It just store some of users' data in SQL server(mysql/pgsql/sqlite),
such as personal address book, language of webmail interface, not mail
user accounts, so you don't need to sync them.
