hi there,

the last couple of beta builds for opera do not have
static versions. i was asked in a discussion to try
and use the version with bundled qt -- the only one
being gcc4-bundled-qt4...

i am sending in the work in progress if someone wants
to play with it, but my question concerns another
umnet dependency: libaudio:

amaaq$ LD_LIBRARY_PATH=. ./opera
./opera: error while loading shared libraries: libaudio.so.2: cannot open
shared object file: No such file or directory
amaaq$ LD_LIBRARY_PATH=. ldd ./opera

./libQtGui.so.4)

anybody has an idea what can i do with this?
i am thinking about the future and try to make opera
work without a static version :] (hopefully they will come back)

has anyone tried if adding a qt library to fedora base
(either qt3 or qt4) would make these dynamic executable opera's work?
is this feasable?

alternatively, has anyone tried to run opera in freebsd emulation?
(like netbsd does)

i also see that netbsd has multiple emul platforms for opera (freebsd5,
solaris-sparc, and linux i386). would be perhaps easier following
netbsd in having suse libs instead of fedora core?
