Just curiosity... Are you with gcc3 or gcc4? Because on my gcc4 system I don't have this problem with stuttering. I've listened to soma.fm, philosomatika and various local mp3 files for more than two hours without stuttering at all. Maybe this snapshot has some problems with gcc3. Btw, I will try this update too asap. ciao, david
