Changes I made does not make things worse than they are now; current
version does weird things with #ifdefs and it does not work on OpenBSD.
My version is tighter and does work on OpenBSD. :) I could trim the
diff, though, making it not changing anything except OpenBSD-specific
code. Will it be OK?
