audio/libsndfile without FLAC, Ogg and Vorbis

Does anybody remember why audio/libsndfile is built using
"--disable-external-libs" ?

I'm working on a port (Mumble voice chat software) that requires a
Ogg/Vorbis capable libsndfile...
