Yes, the warning is "normal". That's what i said in MESSAGE.
The directory where you want to put dokuwiki must be granted with at least: 
    AllowOverride Limit

Maybe i can provide some informations like this:

ln -s /var/www/dokuwiki /var/www/htdocs/dokuwiki

And then, a litte httpd.conf fragment like this:

<Directory /var/www/dokuwiki>
           AllowOverride Limit
</Directory>
