libMagickCore.so.2.0: undefined symbol error

I'm using html2ps to gen up system documentation and since roughly July 
20 perl has been dumping core with the following error:

/usr/bin/perl:/usr/local/lib/libMagickCore.so.2.0: undefined symbol 
'pthread_mutexattr_init'
lazy binding failed!
Segmentation fault
This is on the latest snapshot with all packages updated.
