nice to have a concurring second opinion ;-) thanks. firefox is actually for the help system and not related to java plugins so I don't think any need to mention icedtea-web. Here's the full text from the README a bit further up: "NetBeans relies on the presence of a firefox binary for access to the online help system. Firefox is not set up as a runtime dependency as this dependency is optional." You should be able to use any web browser I think... although I haven't actually loaded up the new version to see what changes it now has to the help system.
