Hi ports --First, let me start by saying that some of you know that I'm in the middle of moving. So apologies if it takes longer than normal for me to reply.
Here is a port of lynx, everyone's favorite web browser that was just removed from base.
Run-down:This is a port of lynx-current. At the time I made this port, lynx was still in base and I wasn't sure if it would go or not. I thought it would be silly to have the ports lynx be the same as the base lynx if it were to stay. This can easily be changed to the stable branch of lynx if desired. Doesn't matter to me either way. Either way, I'd like to track upstream. I know we had local patches, but I don't think it's worth the cost of maintaining them. Unless there's something really important, then let me know.
I switched on options that would let users install lynx without any external deps. Since that is what base had. Again, not committal on this. But if I missed something from the old in-base lynx, let me know.
Do we really want all the docs and help? I turned them on but they can be flipped off by removing the post-install routine.
And finally, because I am in the middle of a move, the *only* arch I have access to right now is amd64 (this laptop). I'm relying on others to test on the other archs.
I am able to reach webspace and gopherspace with this. That's all I've had the opportunity to test.
OK? ~Brian
