No way. :( FluidSynth should be run under the same user who tries to play MIDI file. So the best we could do, if I didn't miss anything, is to add a sample startup commands (to be put in ~/.profile) to fluidsynth's README. Any better ideas? -- WBR, Vadim Zhukov
