You're awfully wrong here. I've looked into it. I saw that Makefile kept WIP stuff. You didn't change a lot of things needing to be changed. Well, yes, you updated version and removed patches that went upstream. But there many other things that should be done. All of them are mentioned in porter's FAQ - which you said you've read: make port-lib-depends-check portcheck removing REVISION either removing or setting up MAINTAINER re-checking license marker careful testing ... and that's what come to mind quickly. > With no good reasons I might add. Let me quote your earlier posting, before I ever came to the initial thread: "Well, what is taking so long? This should be in ports by now. It is not hard to build." You keep thinking that can (or ever should) point to devs what they should do, in a rude form. Very, very bad idea it is. If you're going rude, don't expect neither me or someone else be nice. If need something changed in the OS, just change. It's fully open to you. But if you want to push something in repository, you need to collaborate, not to dictate. Is it clear? Also, I suggest to move off-list, or move to misc@ - I don't think other ports@ subscribers are interested in this non-technical thread. -- Vadim Zhukov
