With py-zopecomponent from the above-quoted mail, landry's py-psutil port, and https://junkpile.org/letsencrypt.tgz, you should be able to build and use the basic letsencrypt client on OpenBSD. There are other parts for web-server integration etc which will be packaged separately later but the basics work.
