Hi,

Previously, when Chromium was gtk+2 based, it could be started within 1-3
attempts. Now it takes from five to ten. The message is still the same:

chrome($PID) in free(): use after free 0x$HEX

and

---
Program received signal SIGABRT, Aborted.
thrkill () at -:3
3 -: No such file or directory.

Current language: auto; currently asm

There was a thread in April 2016 and it was suggested that it has
something to do with graphics and the user had Radeon. Here it is Intel
HD 4000 (Ivy Bridge).

With itself chromium starts some processes, at-spi* and at-spi2*, some dbus,
once I saw dconf or gconf, but not anymore. So, I removed them from bin/
and libexec/, and now it crashes maybe 1 in >5 attempts. I wonder if it
has something to with it. dbus is a dependency by the way, because there
is absolutely no need to run it on a simple desktop with a WM.

In another thread from this year someone suggested running chromium from
within ktrace(1) as a workaround. Unfortunately, it didn't help (prior to
removing dbus and friends).

Now, netsurf-gtk. It crashes rarely, 1 in 7, maybe 1 in 10:
---
Program received signal SIGBUS, Bus error.
g_type_check_instance_cast (type_instance=0xdfdfdfdfdfdfdfdf,
iface_type=31236743364864) at gtype.c:4052
4052 gtype.c: No such file or directory.
        in gtype.c
Current language: auto; currently minimal
---

Any help and workarounds are very welcome. The system is 6.2, GENERIC.MP#134,
amd64.

Thanks!
