I'm working on a remote machine, and I like to have the docs available for the exact version of postgresql that I have installed, so that I don't develop a bad case of googleitis hunting for them. Or else I'm on a LAN, no internet. I'm not really crazy about "file://" urls anyways. So arbitrary javascript from any random web page has access to, e.g., "file://~/.ssh/" -- really.
