openal doesn't really have sndio support at all, how about using both backends for 1.17.2? portaudio for input, sndio for output, as already done here: https://marc.info/?l=openbsd-ports&m=152812456419295&w=2 Ok, I am ready to test further diffs from ratchov@ to get sndio support in openal, but I can't fix openal, so I won't even try to patch it myself.
