Apache is running a threaded MPM, but your PHP Module is not compiled to be
threadsafe. You need to recompile PHP.

AH00013: Pre-configuration failed

# edited the apache httpd.conf to swap these two; comment the first and
uncomment the second:

#LoadModule mpm_event_module /usr/local/lib/apache2/mod_mpm_event.so

LoadModule mpm_prefork_module /usr/local/lib/apache2/mod_mpm_prefork.so

 apache started and nagios runs.

Thanks!

Mike
