You need to recompile PHP. AH00013: Pre-configuration failed # edited the apache httpd.conf to swap these two; comment the first and uncomment the second: #LoadModule mpm_event_module /usr/local/lib/apache2/mod_mpm_event.so LoadModule mpm_prefork_module /usr/local/lib/apache2/mod_mpm_prefork.so apache started and nagios runs.
