The current fonts/fira-code should probably be replaced by Mozilla's actual Fira font on Github.
The current one in ports contains a 404'd web site (https://carrois.com/typefaces/FiraSans/), and the Github redirects to another github account (https://github.com/bBoxType/FiraSans) which just contains the sans fonts. The official Mozilla/Fira repo on Github contains the sans font and many more. fonts/fira-code is also the last font to contact eot files, which are an ancient format for IE6.
